Cult Beauty Deals *Updated *

Cult Beauty has a sale going on where you can take 20% off orders of £85 or more (use code SUMMER20) or take 15% off orders of £25 or more (using code SUMMER15). I thought this would be a good time to finally update an older post I made highlighting brands that are cheaper if you buy them through Cult Beauty than if you buy them through US-based retailors (even without the use of any coupon or sale to help highlight brands that are an even better deals when CB has a sale or coupon code). (You can find the older post here).

Even if you don’t shop the current sale, Cult Beauty also has flash sales of 20% off haircare or skincare a couple times a year, so when they have these kinds of sales, I try to focus on products that are already slightly cheaper at Cult Beauty to save even more money.

This applies specifically to those that live in the United States and to see the deals you will need to sign in so that it knows you live in the United States. Also, be sure to check the bottom of the post that has a list of brands that won’t ship to the U.S.

Let me first say that this post isn’t sponsored. Cult Beauty doesn’t know I am writing it. I just want to share some ways to save money!

I have some affiliate links in the post, If you purchase through my links (and you don’t happen to use a coupon code), I make a small commission. It does not impact the price on your end.

Why is it sometimes cheaper to buy through CB? (And is CB a legit website?)

First, yes. Cult Beauty is a legit website that sells authentic products.

The reason some brands are a better deal is that Cult Beauty integrates UK sales tax into the prices. First. You have to create an account or sign in and add your address so that it knows you are US-based. Once you add it to  your cart the price will be less  because it deducts tax if you’re ordering from outside the EU. Using a currency converter  you can see if it is cheaper to buy from Cult Beauty or from a store in the states. So the price at Cult Beauty depends on the exchange rate. For a long time it was around 1.33 but now it is closer to 1.42. I used 1.42 in my calculations below]

What brands are cheaper?

There isn’t a clear list anywhere (that I am aware of), so I just spent some time adding products from 100 brands at CB. I tried to focus on brands I was familiar with and brands that are EU-based (because that is where I have found the biggest savings) and then I looked for the prices at Sephora, Skinstore, Dermstore, Net-a-porter, or another US-based online retailer (but most were from Sephora). There are definitely some great deals that can be found by shopping through CB! Also, some of the brands never go on sale so finding any price difference is exciting–at least to me it is 🙂

Things to note:

  • I did not add products from all of the brands at CB, so you will have to do some additional investigating for the brands not included in this post
  • Some products within a brand have different savings than other products. I only added one to two products from each brand so keep in mind that these are just estimates!
  • Also… some brands are actually more expensive at CB so it is best to avoid those (I list those lower down in the post.)
  • As a general tip, before you check out, it is wise to first check the exchange rate and then do a quick search of US-based retailers to make sure you are getting the best deal.

Brands with products that have products that were more than 20% cheaper at CB (here is where you can find MAJOR deals by stacking the regular price savings with a CB coupon code).

111skin (I found a savings of 31%)
Alpha-H (I found a savings of 39%)
Caudalie (This is where some of the biggest deals can be found! I found a savings of 52%).
de Mamiel (I found a savings of 34%)
Lanolips (I found a savings of 21%)
Marvis (I found a savings of 21%)
Oskia (I found a savings of 27%)
Verso (The savings for this brand depends on where you would buy it in the US. If you shop Skinstore, you can always get 25% using my code VANESSA. When you do that, you still save money shopping via CB, but you are only saving $11. BUT if you don’t take into account that Skinstore discount the savings is 33%!)
VOTARY (I found a savings of 25%)
Zelens (I found a savings of 24%)

Here is an example of the products and the price savings BEFORE any other discounts have been applied.

AND, if you like the Caudalie Vinoperfect Radiance Serum, you can get a supersize one (50 mL instead of 30mL) at CB for less than the normal price of the 30 mL one in the US. It is £45.83 for 50 mL (~$65.08) on Cult Beauty. In the U.S. it is $79 for 30 mL. So you can pay less and get more.

Brands with products that are around ~10-20% cheaper at CB (still some nice savings even when there isn’t a CB sale going on).

Aesop
– for example, the Resurrection Hand Wash comes to £22.50 which is roughly $31.97 when the exchange rate is 1.42. The normal price in the US is $39.

Shipping

Also, in terms of shipping. You get free shipping over on orders over £40. But every so often (like a couple days ago), they have a free shipping on all orders deal. Shipping usually takes about 10 days. But if you get priority shipping (free on orders over £150 ) it can come in a matter of days.

Hope this has been helpful!
